Training Camp continued for the New York Islanders at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum today, and there is indication that guys are starting to shape up and get back into form for what should be a great season.
The Islanders are celebrating 40 years of hockey on Long Island this year, and are hoping to see some big things from both their newer acquisitions and the guys who
have been around for a while. Forward Josh Bailey and blue liner Travis Hamonic are two players who will be keys to success for the team this season.
Both Bailey and Hamonic are quickly getting back into the swing of NHL action, after the different puck-movement and shooting drills that were held. Josh is entering into his fourth season-told the official NHL website that the team is sticking to the system that worked well for them at the end of last year.
Steve Staios, Mark Eaton, Michael Grabner and Bailey all gave their thoughts on what they did over the summer-along with the first three days of training camp on the Islanders website.
