Making history and getting fans excited about the sport of Women’s Soccer the ladies of Gotham FC and Washington Spirit put on a show at Citi Field with the Queens Classic.
Even though there was air conditions that were not ideal because of the Canada Wildfires, the ladies were able to put on a great match in front of a record crowd of 42,175 and they were able to see a 1-0 victory by New York/New Jersey.
With the move to Queens coming soon, this is a great opportunity for the squad to show what can be expected and that they were able to do as Rose Lavelle scored the game-winner.
There were also those getting to see Sam Kerr and stellar saves by Ann-Katrin Berger.

Gotham FC is back in action tomorrow against the Seattle Reign at Icahn Stadium with the action for that scheduled to be at Noon.
