The Red Bulls of New York went against longtime rivals D.C. United on Wendesday night and got themselves a point as the clubs battled to a 4-4 draw.
Scoring goals for the Red Bulls were Julian Hall, Ronald Donkor, Jorge Ruvalcaba got himself a brace, as the guys had themselves a 2-1 lead at the Half.
D.C. United showed a great fight though as Tai Baribo, got himself a hat trick and Jackson Hopkins scored a goal as well.
With the tie the Red Bulls are now in eighth place in the MLS standings, sitting right behind rivals New York City FC.
The Red Bulls are going to go on the road to face FC Cincinnati before the Hudson River Derby and US Open Cup match.
For Hall the goal was the ninth of his career and he now has five goal contributions in the last five apperances.
It was a memorable night for Donkor, as the goal during the match was his first in his MLS Career.
Some other interesting facts from the Red Bulls PR Department include the fact that Emil Forsberg was able to get his third assist of the season and that is the 18th of his career.
Also assisting in the game was Adri Mehmeti, as he had his third to go along with two goal contributions.
Fans at Sports Illustrated Stadium got to see the first career MLS start for Rafael Mosquera. along with the debut of Joyeux Masanka Bungi.
The guys now go on the road to face FC Cincinnati , and hope for a repeat of the performance
