The game that Brooklyn played was a big one as with the victory (8-3) the guys were able to bust from a three-game losing stretch. The bats being able to warm-up was a huge reason for the victory as they were able to log a season-high 13 during the course of the game.
Ronald Hernandez was one of the leaders in that game as he was able to get a bases-clearing three-run double.
During the course of the week, Hernandez went 4-for-12 with 2 doubles, 5 RBI, 6 walks, and 3 runs scored and an impressive stat is that he has a .526 on-base percentage.
Thus far Ronald is one of the leaders in the league as well, as he is ranked third in the league with 13 walks drawn and that is a great stat for the upcoming catcher to have..
Another leader on the team thus far is Colin Houck as during the week against the Grasshoppers he went 8-for-20 (.400) at the plate to go along with 3 runs scored, 2 doubles, 5 RBI and a stolen base.
The guys have today as an off day before being in Hudson Valley for the start of a six-game road trip.
Scheduled to start in Game 1 for Brooklyn is Channing Austin as he is looking to pick up his first victory of the season. Thus far the righty has 7 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.91. As for Hudson Valley they are going to have Brandon Decker on the mound.
