There are a ton of highlights coming from the Boys in Blue as the 2025 MLS Season has come to a conclusion.
After running into the buzzsaw that was the Super team in Inter Miami, the fact that the guys were able to defeat Charlotte on the road, a feat they never accomplished before and then go to Philadelphia and defeat the defending Supporter Shield Winners are just two of the highlights the team is going to bring with them to the next MLS season.
Already the team is starting to make moves as of today they announced that they are going to keep, Nico Cavallo, Tayvon Gray, Thiago Martins, Max Murray, Kevin O’Toole, Tomás Romero and Strahinja Tanasijević on the roster for another year.
Fans are encouraged to view the following video as Head Coach Pascal Jansen and Defender Thiago Martins as they share these thoughts after the loss to Inter Miami….video is compliments of NYCFC:
Meanwhile there are going to be conversations to be had with Andrés Perea, Justin Haak and Maxi Moralez.
Overall though the feelings around the club are positive as when Perera and Alonso Martinez returning from injury they are hopefully going to be a team that is going to be fun to watch for in the soon to be upcoming MLS Season.
There are going to be a ton of things that they can do to build the 2026 squad including getting a striker, gaining more depth in the midfield and how to bolster the defense.
Already the rumor mill is starting to buzz for the Boys in Blue as it is reported that César Inga is a possibility to join the squad.
Inga a part of the Club Universitario de Deportes as he is someone that can offer depth in the defense.
The growth of the team and the growth of how many people are starting to follow and love and support New York City FC is something that for sure can be seen, especially now the team is getting the name into the subway stations through the latest advertising campaign.
These are exciting times for New York City FC fans and the journey for the club in the quest for greatness is just getting started.
