After winning four games in Jersey Shore the Brooklyn cyclones return to Coney Island and take on Aberdeen on Tuesday for a six-game homestand.
Thus far the Cyclones are doing well as they have a 30-15 overall record and are in Second Place in the SAL.
Getting Player of The Week Recognition for the Franchise was Jesús Báez because of his outstanding performance in New Jersey.
The infielder put up some incredible numbers as he went 11-for-17 at the dish in the series, along with blasting two homers, lacing a double and driving in 10 RBI.
An amazing stat according to the Cyclones PR department is the fact that he was able to get at least one hit in five of the six games. In the game on Tuesday he was able to get his name in the Cyclones record book as he tied things for a single game record for most walks in a game.
This is going to be the second time that the Cyclones and IronBirds have gone against each other, but this time the series is going to take place in Coney Island.
When the Cyclones traveled to Aberdeen the guys were able to pick up four victories, and all of them were close ones as the scores in Game One were 8-7 and Game 5 were 4-3. The Cyclones were able to blank the IronBirds on Game Four as Zach Thornton improved to a 3-0 mark on that day by striking out eight batters in 6.0 IP.
Game One of the Series between Brooklyn and Aberdeen starts on Tuesday with the game scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The Cyclones are going to have a BOGO Tuesday as anyone attending can buy a game and then get one game free.
