Cyclones on the Road in Asheville after Successful Homestand

After the Brooklyn Cyclones (18-10) had a successful homestand against the Wilmington Blue Rocks the guys are on a six-game road trip in Asheville.

During the stretch against Wilmington the team opened up with a close game one victory on April 29 by a final of 7-6, before seeing the bats boom in Game 2 on the 30th as the finale of that was 15-1.

Thus far against the Tourist there was a win and a loss as things are heading for Game Three to take place at 6:35 p.m. on 5/8/25.

On the mound for the Cyclones is going to be R. J. Gordon, as the righy has a 3-0 overall record during his MiLB Career to go along with a 2.14 ERA, to go along with 24 strikeouts and a 1.10 WHIP.

Gordon was chosen by the Mets in the 2024 Draft in the 13th Round with the 383 Pick.

The Tourist are going to have Bryce Mayer going for his first decision of the 2025 MiLB Season, as the Missouri College grad enters into the game with a 3.75 overall ERA.

Mayer was selected by the Houston Astros in the 2024 Draft in the 16th Round with the 493 overall pick.

Fun fact from the Cyclones Public Relatons Department is the fact that the team’s Bullpen is shining thus far as they have a 3.38 ERA (47 ER in 125.1 IP), six saves, 65 walks and is ranked the sixth-lowest in MiLB.

Brooklyn is going to be playing in Asheville till Sunday, May 11 and then have a day off before they return to the Coney Island Area to Take on Winston-Salem on May 13 with the start time of that series scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
