With an action packed card and a spirited Prudential center PrimeTime Promotions gave those that are boxing fans a night to remember with the Winter Warfare event.
Starting with the bout by Jean Pierre Valencia (4-0, 2 KOs) and Dmitry Noskov (0-2). Even though Valencia was able to get Noskov on the mat early, Dmitry showed a ton of grit and resilience and hung tough to win several rounds in the judges’ scorecards. It was Valencia that won the fight.
Then fans at Winter Warfare witnessed the first KO of the night from Emmanuel Etienne as he was able to improve to a 9-1 with 5 KO in the cruiserweight division.
There were a ton of action-packed fights from the John Vallejo thriller to the victory from Peter Latorre having the crowd chanting his nickname of Voodoo throughout his bout.
Ghandi Roman with supporters in the crowd cheering on, and even one supporter hoping and chanting first round KO eventually did deliver with that blow but later on in the bout to improve his record to 7-1-1.
Fans are encouraged to give a view to the photo gallery from the fight:
Women’s Boxing got to be put in a spotlight as Miyo Yoshida (18-5) and Beata Dudek (5-6, 4 KOs) put on one heck of a fight. It was Yoshida with the victory as the former IBF Bantamweight and WBO Junior Bantamweight World Champion looks to regain championship gold.
From there the first of the fighters from Poland got to represent as Mateusz Bereznicki, Michal Soczynski and Fiodor Cherkashyn all earned victories.
The spicy moment from the weigh-ins was the confrontation between Keith Colon and Angelo Ramos, put on a heck of a show in front of the Prudential Center. Colon is a name that boxing fans may hopefully remember as he represents and fights with the Top Rank Company as well.
Then it was time for the Main Event, which did not disappoint, with a mainly Polish crowd in attendance along with friends and family members of both sides it was Damian Knyba taking on Andrzej Wawrzyk .
That was one heck of a clash of the titans for the finale and Knyba impressed with the victory though there was some that wondered if Wawrzyk wanted to go another round and continue the clash.
Hopefully that is going to be a Main Event that can be as the kids would say ‘run back’ cause it was for sure a thriller of a bout.
Overall, it was a fun night of fights and what the amazing part to see was the fan fun and festive atmosphere that was at the Prudential Center. What was incredible was to be able to interact with the supporters from the fight camps of each of the fighters.
