Excitement starts to build for 2025 Season for the New York Red Bulls

After an incredible run during the 2024 Season the New York Red Bulls held an end of the season Press Conference, to recap all the things that were during the MLS schedule and start to organize as to how things are going to be in 2025.

Even prior to the end of the 2024 season there were a ton of moves made as they signed Ryan Meara to a new contract, they exercised the option on goalkeeper Carlos Coronel and made the following moves.

With the New York Red Bulls II franchise, they were able to sign defender Omar Valencia to a three-year contract and Staten Island-native Adri Mehmeti to a four-year contract.

The Red Bulls becoming the first ever MLS Cup team to have five different players born in New York and New Jersey starting an MLS Cup Finals, are going to continue to look for talent in the Metropolitan Area according to the team’s end of the year Press Conference and Head Coach Sandro Schwarz and the  Head of Sport Jochen Schneider.

There was a ton of talk about contracts as there are going to be some big decisions made for the franchise going forward, including bringing back Lewis Morgan to an extension with the club.

One of the biggest pieces of news to be made official is the fact that the franchise is going to add former Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to the roster according to Sky Sports Germany.
Choupo-Moting made 122 total appearances for Bayern Munich; while adding 38 goals and it is going to be fascinating to see how the forward is going to be a part of the Red Bulls offense.

There was also something that was brought up from Coach Schwarz, which is going to ensure the future of the franchise and that is the fact that the guys are going to have a state-of-the-art training complex in Morris Township, NJ.

The news of that becoming official on May 14, 2024 is going to be a clutch part of the team’s development not only for the guys but for the youth and the New York Red Bulls II squad.

Overall, the buzz and energy surrounding the team with the 2024 squad is positive one and one that is going to be fascinating to watch as the calendars turn to the 2025 MLS season.
