Featuring a crowd filled with Maryland Terrapin fans and supporters the Men’s Basketball team followed through with a gritty 76-75 victory against Villanova in the Saatva Empire Classic on Sunday afternoon.
Leading the way for the Terps is Derik Queen as he had a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Julian Reese had 18 points, other impressive performances by Maryland came from Rodney Rice with 16 points and Ja’Kobi Gillespie rounded the scoring with 12 points.

As for Villanova they had themselves a heck of a day as Eric Dixon led all scoring with 38 points, four rebounds and two assists and he was followed by Jhamir Brickus with 11 points.

The day as a whole was one that was fun filled, and action packed as the one-day affair honored those in the Military and took time to promote the Wounded Warrior project.
Throughout the game there were distinguished Vets that were honored and thanked for their service, along with a donation being given to the Non-Profit foundation.
