For those that love College Basketball the UKG Legends Classic is an event to look forward to, as the best, brightest and NCAA tournament teams get to play in the state-of-the-art NBA Arena known as the Barclays Center.

Brooklyn, the longtime home of basketball, got to host four incredible College Men’s Basketball teams as Syracuse, Texas, Texas Tech and Saint Joseph’s all came into town to thrill the fans that attended.
The first of the two matchups between Syracuse and Texas, featured a game that went down to the wire.

Both teams showing great heart and resilience but it was Texas that gained the 70-66 lead to set the first portion of the UKG Legends Classic Championship Bout to be played on November 22.

We also encourage our followers to give a view to our photo gallery from the first portion of the day as Syracuse took on Texas as the guys got ready for the game:

Leading the way for Texas was Arthur Kaluma as he finished the game with a double-double of 16 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. Also impressing were Tre Johnson with his 16 points and Chendall Weaver with 10 points.

As for Syracuse they had a ton of tremendous performers including J. J. Starling with his 16 points, while Eddie Lampkin Jr had himself a 14-point night.

It was a great atmosphere for the first game as the Barclays was packed with Syracuse fans and even NBA great Carmelo Anthony and his son Kiyan got to see the Orange in action.

Syracuse University getting the news recently of Kiyan playing for the Orange, by him committing to the team in November is getting his chance to see the team in action firsthand and see what the future can be for him once he gets to the University.

Then in the second portion of the night it was Philadelphia-based Saint Joseph’s going up against Texas Tech in another thriller of a game.

With a crowd featuring a nice mix of Red Raider and Hawks fans got to see these two teams put everything they had on the floor and seeing the Hawks just edge the Red Raiders by a tally of 78-77.

Helping to lead the way for Saint Joseph’s is Erik Reynolds II with 26 points, and he is followed by Xzayvier Brown with his 20 points.

That is going to set the stage for the Championship match as it is going to be the Hawks taking on the Longhorns at 9:30 p.m. as for Texas Tech and Syracuse they are going to battle for Third Place in the Tournament with the tip off time between the two starting at 7 p.m.
