Thus far for the 2024 Fordham University Football team the guys are getting closer and closer to showing the type of team that they can be. While the overall record (0-6) isn’t what is hoped for on the field the fact that the guys are implementing the running game and having some key moments on the field are getting them closer and closer to the type of football they can play.
In the team’s Family Weekend game against Lafayette a 28-23 loss the game was fingertips away from being a different result, as with 12 seconds left Quarterback Jack Capaldi threw a spiral of the ball into the air to Garrett Cody, that play was incomplete, and things wound up in favor of the visitors.
Those in attendance on a beautiful Saturday afternoon could say that the Layfette’s defense did a tremendous job throughout the game, but that is one moment in particular that could have changed the fate of Fordham University.
There was a ton for the guys to be proud of though, including the fact that the running game kept pounding and pounding as they gained a total of 188 yards.

There was a special moment for Jack, as he had his first rushing touchdown of his career at the 2:51 mark of the Second Quarter.
