Jets and Special Olympics Successfully Launch Flag Football League

One of the greatest joys in the world is seeing two world class orginzations join and create unique opportunities for those in the community.

With the weather being a picture-perfect day on Tuesday Morning the New York Jets and Special Olympics successfully launched the High School Unified Flag Football League.

As athletes gathered from the New York Public Schools along with Athletes from the Special Olympics the kickoff clinic went spectacularly, as all in attendance got to see how it is to play the sport of flag football.
There is going to be a ton of excitement as there are going to be eight teams representing New York City

High Schools that are going to be a part of the inaugural season that is all going to lead to MetLife Stadium for the Championship Tournament.

Some of the team’s that are included are from Queens, from New York and from the Bronx.

Thanks to the Jets and Special Olympics all got to receive uniforms, footballs, flag belts and some playing time with each other in the spirit of sportsmanship and fun.

What was amazing is to see how the organizations in the Jets and Special Olympics were able to come together to teach the athletes how to play the sport of football the right way.

The Jets, known for the impact that they make in the community have stepped up even further than previous years thanks to the Jets Foundation.

As for the Special Olympics they do a spectacular job in being able to serve more than 45,000 athletes across the community with year-round sports training and more.
