To start the 2024 Season the Fordham University Football team has faced three tough losses, including the Home Opener to Stony Brook on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
There are a ton of positive signs for the guys, including the fact that they were able to keep the game against Stony Brook close by a final score of 27-21.
What is going to be extra tough and fascinating to see how things are going to happen is the fact that the Rams during the third quarter lost starting Quarterback CJ Montes to an injury.
The good news though is the fact that the defensive unite were able to convert interceptions into touchdowns. In fact, the defense was able to score two.
Some of the outstanding performances by the defensive unit included the play of Mike Courtney as he had 12 tackles, six solo and two pass breakups. Jackson Barletta contributed with eight tackles, six solo and one sack and Alex Kemper rounded the defense with seven tackles with five of them being solo.
There were some impressive performances on the offensive front as well as Julius Loughridge finished the game with 99 yards on 13 carries with Ricky Parks had 54 yards on 11 rushes.
The 2024 season is going to be a fascinating one for the guys as up next there are road games at Dartmouth and at Monmouth prior to returning back to Moglia Stadium as they host Lafayette in a game that is scheduled for October 5 at 1:00 p.m.
