Rainy Day Draw for Red Bulls in Physical match against Montreal

In what was a physical and rain delayed match against CF Montreal the New York Red Bulls drew to a 2-2 draw in MLS action in Harrison.

As the guys played to the Star Wars theme night featuring some of the characters from the Iconic Movie series in attendance in Harrison, unfortunately the Force is not with the team as of late the Red Bulls are on a series of Draws as the last time, they saw a winning result was on June 22 against Toronto.

There were a ton of opportunities when it came time to getting the full three points, and during this span of draws but unfortunately unable to convert on scoring opportunities.

Getting back to the match against Montreal things were tough in terms of physical play and the weather, but the good news for the guys is the fact that they were able to open up the scoring early on a goal by Wiki Carmona from Dylan Nealis.

Nealis shared these thoughts with members of the New York Media after the match as to some of the frustrations they are experiencing:

The goal for Carmona is the third MLS goal of the season along with the fifth of his MLS career.

Things when back and forth between the two clubs, Montreal was led by Josef Martinez as he scored in the 67′ and 81′.

With the draw the 2024 edition of the Red Bulls became the second team in franchise history to go unbeaten in the first 11 home matches to start the season. In addition, the guys were able to extend the home unbeaten streak across all competitions to 14 matches.
