Game One Blues for the Cyclones in loss to Hudson Valley

In what was a nailbiter of a night for the Brooklyn Cyclones in the team’s return to Coney Island, the result was a tough one of 5-0 in the first of three against the Hudson Valley Renegades.

With the Fourth of July almost amongst us and the Beach being jam packed with people, those in attendance got to see a pitcher’s duel for the most part between Baron Stuart and Jonathan Pintaro

Pintaro pitched 5.0 Innings striking out seven batters to get himself to a 3.57 ERA. As for Stuart he did well in his fifth victory of the year going 6.2 IP, striking out four batters and allowing four hits.

As for the offense both teams put on a show for the Minor League version of the Subway Series, the Cyclones were able to get a multi-hit game from Nick Lorusso. Lorusso is hitting well as he now has 15 multi-hit games in the season. The Cyclones also saw hits from Junior Tilien and Karell Paz.

The rest of the game got to see relievers Julian Smith and Jimmy Loper both had a strikeout each.
