Even though the momentum was completely on the side of the Boys in Blue it was a tough 1-0 loss to Nashville that is the final result and the hopes of regaining momentum in the next match. Nashville gained the lead and victory thanks to a header by Tyler Boyd in the 23rd minute.

NYCFC gave the match all the effort that they could but could not pull through with the victory. Thus far the Boys in Blue have a 1-3-1 record against Nashville, while having three losses while in Nashville.

The bright spot for the franchise is the fact that they were able to lead in possession and have done well in that category against opponents in 11 matches this season.

Other categories that the guys led in were shots 14-8, pass accuracy 89.7%-85.2% and corner kicks 5-3.

There is a milestone moment for the guys as Maxi Moralez was able to see his first start in 294 days, making a full and triumphant return from the ACL injury.

Maxi once again showed why he is called the maestro on the field, as he created some wonderful chances on the pitch.

Moralez was able to create great chemistry with Agustín Ojeda along with many others.

After struggling on the road, the guys get to return to Yankee Stadium and go up against Orlando in a match that is scheduled for 6/28/24 as the franchise celebrates Pride Night. The Action for the night is going to be scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
