As the prospects for both the New York Mets and New York Yankees clashed in Coney Island the Brooklyn Cyclones and Hudson Valley Renegades wrapped up a six-game homestand with tons of thrills and highlights galore.
With the bright TV lights on SNY on them for Game Three, it turned to be the Renegades fans tunning into see a 16-3 victory.
The Renegades bats looked great as they were able to have 16 runs on 18 hits. Making a minor-league rehab assignment is Jorbit Vivas and he responded with a five hit, five RBI Day. Hudson Valley fans also were impressed by the play of Jace Avina and Omar Martinez.
As for the Cyclones fans those that were new to seeing the team play got to see one of the Mets top prospects and one of the guys to watch for in Coney Island in Nick Lorusso as he hit a blast to center field during the course of the game.
Also impressing on TV for Brooklyn is Junior Tilien and Nick Morabito.
Then in Game Four fans got to see a bit of history in the making as Stanley Consuegra became the franchises all-time led in home runs by hitting a grand slam during the 7-1 victory on May 24.
On the mound the Cyclones got a bounce back performance by pitcher Douglas Orellana, as he went 4.2 shutout innings, sitting down five batters.
In Game Five there was a dominant performance by pitcher Felipe De La Cruz, as he became the sixth Cyclones in Franchise history to sit down 13 batters in the game via strikeout and the first to do so since 2013.

Consuegra hit a long ball in the team’s victory, and that is a milestone for the outfielder as it is the 33rd all-time homer with the team.
Karell Paz hit a laser of the ball to right field and made the score 5-0, and also having a great day at the plate is William Lugo.
Even though the finale wrapped up with a tough 4-2 loss there was a ton of fun and festivities as Mets great Mookie Wilson was in attendance in Coney Island to promote his new projected called Legacy Catering.
With Sunday being the start of the Memorial Day Holiday and with the ships in shore for Fleet Week, having Wilson and his delicious offering of food was a great way for those in attendance to celebrate the Holiday Season.
In addition, fans got to see fireworks from the bats of Tilien as he laced two hits in the game, Wilfredo Lara and Mateo Gil also ripped two hits during the game.
The Cyclones pitching staff had several fine performances including the start by Jonah Tong as he struck out three batters in 2.0 Innings Pitched. Also having a fine day on the mound is Joshua Cornielly and Josh Hejka with three strikeouts in 2.0 Innings each.
With the warmer summer temperatures incoming the Cyclones end up the month of May and start the month of June with a six-game road trip against Jersey Shore starting on Tuesday, May 28. The first pitch scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
