Brooklyn Cyclones on the Road in Bowling Green before Returning Home to Coney Island

After a six-game road stand in Rome the Brooklyn Cyclones (18-15) are heading into another road tip against Bowling Green.

In the series against Rome the guys were able to win three of the six and make a bit of history along the way.

The history making moment for the team came on May 11, 2024, as with the 2-1 victory the guys were able to gain the 1,000th victory.

Leading the way in the milestone moment is Pitcher Douglas Orellana was able to strike out 10 batters in four innings. At the plate Wilfredo Lara drove in the go-ahead run.

Some of the other impressive performances for the squad came in the 6-3 victory on May 10 as Catcher Chris Suero laced an RBI double in the eighth inning.

In addition, the guys were able to get some clutch hits from Nick Lorusso and Nolan McLean in the 6-2 victory on May 7, 2024.

The Cyclones got themselves some exciting news as prospects Ryan Clifford and Brandon Sproat got the call to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies recently.

Clifford is a prospect that most fans are excited to see and is ranked Fourth in MLB Pipeline along with 78 overall. In his time with the Cyclones Ryan was able rank high as he tied for MiLB in walks (32) and is fourth in the South Atlantic League (SAL) in OBP (.412).

As for Sproat he is one of the keys to the Cyclones starting rotation and is going to be a big part of the Rumble Ponies staff. Brandon holds a 1.07 ERA over six appearances, allowing three runs.

It is going to be fascinating to see how the team makes adjustments and who on the team helps to step up in terms of both offense and helping on the mound.

Starting on Tuesday May 14 the guys start a six-game road trip against Bowling Green (17-16) as Jonah Tong gets the start for the squad.

The start of the series between Brooklyn and Bowling Green is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
