The Brooklyn Cyclones (8-8) return back to Coney Island with an improved team starting to click and find a rhythm on the field. After a road trip to the Jersey Shore, where the team went 3-3 the guys hit the field at Maimonides Park with the team’s resident Unicorn in Nolan McLean on the mound.
The team’s two-way player didn’t disappoint the fans in attendance as he tossed a shutout and is one of the big parts to the team’s victory on Tuesday night. The shutout for the team is the third straight victory and this is the franchises second such streak of the season.
McClean looked impressive on the mound as he was able to put zeros on the scoreboard for five innings, while only surrendering two hits and a walk. In addition, the Cyclones starter fanned a career-high six batters.
As for the team’s bats once again impressing is 1B Nick Lorusso as he ripped three hits in the game. Junior Tilien recorded an RBI single, and Drake Osborn was able to rip two hits.

Making his return to Coney Island is Jaylen Palmer, and he is going to be one to watch for as he tries to make his way back to Binghamton. In his MiLB career the LF has 310 hits, 36 HR and 155 RBIs.
There is a positive buzz and energy around the 2024 Cyclones and the team is just getting started when it comes time for finding their stride and rhythm on the field.
The great news for the team is that they are going to be in Coney Island to continue a six-game homestand on Wednesday, April 24. Projected to be on the mound is RHP Noah Hall (0-2, 10.61 ERA) taking on RHP Bryan Caceres (0-0, 3.60 ERA).
Caceres is a David, Panama native and has a 5.62 ERA, 341.1 IP along wit 295 strikeouts, as for Hall, he got drafted by the Mets in 2023 with the 7th Overall Pick and attended the University of South Carolina. Thus far in his MiLB career he holds a 10.61 ERA in 9.1 IP along with eight strikeouts.
Game Two between the Cyclones and Blue Rocks is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
