In front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Barclays Center the Fordham University Men’s Basketball team (13-19, 7-12) defeated Davidson (15-17, 5-14) in the First Round of the Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament.
With the victory the Rams are going to be next in the Brooklyn area to take on Wednesday as they are going to take on the No. 5 VCU at 2:00 p.m.
With a mostly Pro Davidson crowd in attendance, it was the Wildcats that were able to have the lead at the conclusion of the First Half of action by the score of 27-19.
Then it was the Rams that made a roaring comeback thanks to the combination of stellar defense and overall team play.

At the conclusion of it all it was the Rams that were able to get into the Overtime frame and punched their ticket to the Second Round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament.
Leading the way for the Rams in scoring is Will Richardson with his 20 points, three rebounds as he was able to shoot 6-14 from the field and had himself an almost perfect day from the free throw line going 5-6. Antrell Charlton and Abdou Tsimbila followed with nine points each.
Davidson impressed with their fine shooting style and passing ability as Connor Kochera led the way in scoring with 24 points followed by Grant Huffman with his 12 points and rounding the scoring is Reed Bailey with his 11 points.
Up next for the Fordham University Men’s Basketball team is going to be a test against the ultra-tough Fifth Seed VCU, as they are defending the title.
The last time that Fordham and VCU met was on Tuesday February 6th as it was VCU coming on top with a score of 75-60.
It’ll be another thriller at the Barclays Center and all the action is going to be scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
