In the afternoon sessions of the Atlantic 10 Conference Tournament it was La Salle (16-16, 7-12) just edged George Washington 60 in a tighly contested second game of the Tournament.
Leading the way for La Salle in scoring is Jhamir Brickus with his 21 points from 9-16 shooting from the field. After that fans were impressed by the play of Khalil Brantley with his 15 points and Daeshon Shepherd with his 10 points along with being perfect from the free throw line.

As for George Washington they were led by James Bishop IV with his 19 points to go along with the fine play of Darren Buchanan Jr with his 14 points and Maximus Edwards with 10 points.
Up next for La Salle is going to be a Second Round matchup against No. 7 St. Bonaventure with the tip of that game scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Then in the final session of day one it was Rhode Island taking on Saint Louis as it was the Billikens coming through with the victory by the score of 74-71.
Throughout the First Round all of the action was tightly contested, and the finale was no different as once again the team’s impressed with the style of play.
Leading the way in scoring for Saint Louis is Gibson Jimerson with his 26 points, followed by Terrence Hargrove, Jr with 18 points. Junior Bradley Ezewiro contributed with 10 points and 11 rebounds as he had an impressive 5-7 shooting performance from the field.
As for Rhode Island they had three players in double figure scoring as Jaden House led the way with 18 points on 8-12 shooting, followed by David Green with his 14 points and Luis Kortright rounded the scoring with his 10 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Saint Louis is going to be in the finale of the Second Round as they take on No. 6 Duquesne with the tip between the two teams set to take place at 7:30 p.m.
