With the BIG EAST Tournament rapidly approaching the St. John’s Women’s Basketball (15-12, 9-6) team fell to No. 20/18 Creighton by a final score of 71-51 at Carnesecca Arena.
Thus far for the Month of February the Red Storm are playing well as they defeated Seton Hall by a final of 68-57, and the ladies were able to see a victory against Xavier by a final of 67-55 on January 31.
As for the most recent game against Creighton the ladies saw two players in double figure scoring as Ber’Nyah Mayo went 6-11 from the field, 2-3 from the three-point line for a total of 16 points along with five rebounds to lead all scoring.
Jillian Archer also impressed fans with her 11 points and six rebounds on a 3-6 FG night and an almost perfect night from the free throw line as she went 5-6.

St. John’s also saw impressive performances from Tara Daye as she scored Nine Points and Unique Drake with her seven points.
Creighton, meanwhile, saw three players in double figure scoring as Lauren Jensen and Morgan Maly both led the way in scoring with 20 points each. Emma Ronsiek recorded 14 points on 6-12 FG shooting night, along with four assists.
The St. John’s Women’s Basketball team goes on the road to take on Georgetown on February 20 before returning to Carnesecca Arena to host Providence on Saturday, February 24.
