Featuring some of the top College Basketball teams to the New York Area, the Holiday Hoopfest was an action-packed day as St. Joseph’s, Iona, Rhode Island, Delaware, Towson and Bryant all got to thrill and excite the fans that are in attendance.
From start to the finish all the teams that were in the center stage at UBS Arena shined, as the action started with a double overtime thriller between Towson and Bryant, as the Bulldogs came through with the 101-93 victory.
Leading the way for Bryant is Rafael Pinzon as he scored a team-high 28 points, and Earl Timberlake had nine rebounds. As for Towson they were led by Dylan Williamson as he scored 18 points while Charles Thompson grabbed 16 points.
Then it was Rhode Island taking on Delaware with the final of that game being 67-56. Leading the way for Delaware is Jyáre Davis with his 26 points as for Rhode Island they had an impressive showing led by Cam Estevez as he scored 17 points.

Rounding the Holiday Hoopfest was St. Joseph’s taking on New York-area based Iona, and though the Gales showed a ton of heart, it was the Hawks and there sharpshooting that impressed.
At the end of the night, it was Saint Joseph’s coming on top by a score of 83-58. Helping to lead the way for the Hawks is Erik Reynolds II as he scored 26 points. As for Iona they are led by Dylan Saunders as he scored a season-best 16 points.
The Holiday Hoopsfest put together by the Gazelle Group has some exciting events upcoming as they are next in the Metropolitan Area on December 23 for the Gotham Classic at the Prudential Center when New Jersey-based Rutgers takes on Mississippi State. Then the folks at the Gazelle Group host the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off Happening in December 28-29 in Milwaukee.
