Seton Hall Women’s Basketball Playing Strong Heading into 2024

The Seton Hall Women’s Basketball Team (6-3) are playing a great brand of Women’s Basketball as they are on a winning streak in the month of December and rolling into BIG EAST Conference play.

The ladies earning victories over teams such as Iona, Rutgers, East Carolina were able to recently pick up a win against Maryland Eastern Shore by a final score of 78-54 and most recently against Central Connecticut State with the score of 77-46.

One of the memorable moments for the Pirates thus far is the fact that Head Coach Anthony Bozella coached his 500th victory on 11/22/23 in the Bahamas against East Carolina.

Bozella averages more than 19 wins per season in a career of more than 30 plus years, continues to motivate and inspire young women to play the best brand of basketball on a nightly basis.

In the team’s most recent victory against a spunky Central Connecticut State team, the ladies were able to pass the ball well, and ran up and down the court in what was a fast-passed basketball game.

Fans are encouraged to check out the following video featuring thoughts from Head Coach Anthony Bozzella along with Shailyn Pinkney after the team’s victory against CCSU:

The ladies saw six players with at least nine points as leading the way is Micah Gray with her 17 points, and Azana Baines and Amari Wright both having 10 points each. A’Jah Davis recorded her second double-double with 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

The double-double for Davis is the 56th in her career and the 10 rebounds she grabbed marked the 61 time in her career she was able to achieve that feat.

Seton Hall saw themselves a milestone moment as Banes reached the 800-career points plateau.

One of the nice moments for Seton Hall was later in the action as graduate transfer Brazil Harvey-Carr stepped onto the floor. Harvey-Carr coming back to the team from an injury, stepped onto the floor as a sub and instantly provided a spark at the 5:45 mark connecting with her first three-pointer with the Pirates.

As for CCSU they played with tenacity and heart, showing a great style of defense along with some great shooting team. Leading the way for the Blue Devils is Samora Watson as she scored 18 points.

Up next for the Seton Hall Women’s Basketball team is going to be a battle against fellow New Jersey Women’s Basketball team FDU on December 11 with the ladies then taking on UNLV on December 16 before starting up BIG EAST Conference play with a game against Georgetown on December 20.
