Fast Paced Fordham defeats FDU, 80-52

In a game that featured a bit of everything the Fordham University Men’s Basketball team defeated FDU by the score of 80-52 in NCAA action at Rose Hill Gym on Thursday.

With things starting off on a close note, as the score was tied five times and the lead changed six times, the Rams started to open up the scoring as the night progressed and found their confidence and rhythm in a very impressive performance in front of 1,320 in attendance.

Leading the way for the Rams is Joshua Rivera as he had some thunderous dunks in his 13 points and seven rebounds on 6-8 shooting from the field. Also having impressive performances is Abdou Tsimbila and Will Richardson as they both had 10 points each.

Also be sure to check out the video below as we have thoughts from Head Coach Keith Urgo along with Will Richardson and Joshua Rivera share these thoughts after the team’s victory against FDU:

One of the more impressive trends for the Rams is the fact that the team showed a very fast-paced style of play as they totaled 24 fast break points.

Another great trend of the team is the fact that the bench scored 38 points, which is something that is going to be huge for the team as they progress in what is going to be a challenging Atlantic 10 Conference Schedule.

As for FDU they showed a ton of heart and spunk, as well as some moments of defensive fortitude but ultimately the Rams and their fast-paced style of play won the night.

Leading the way for the Knights is Sean Moore with 12 points and eight rebounds and Heru Bligen with his 10 points.

The Rams look to continue their fast-paced style of play and their homestand as they get to host Tulane next on Sunday, December 3 with the action at Rose Hill Gym starting at 1:00 p.m.
