New Stars of Boxing take center stage thanks to Hollywood Fight Nights

In what was a thrilling night of Boxing at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden the folks at Hollywood Fight Nights continue their string of successful bouts with the New York edition of fights that took place on Friday.

With stars such as Teofimo Lopez and Larry Holmes, Chuck Zito in addition to UFC President and CEO Dana White and WWE Superstar and Current WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H watching, every fighter on the card put on a show for all in attendance.

With the action streaming on the UFC Fight Pass, and in front of a rocking crowd and featuring future stars from the Metropolitan Area, the hope is that this is going to be the first of many events for the California-based boxing companies in the Big Apple.

The Co-Main events were ones that are going to be talked about for some time as “Sugar” Cain Sandoval (11-0, 11 KOs) knocked out Wesley “El Bongocero” Ferrer (17-2-1, 8 KOs) in the fifth round.

Then in the main event with all of Madison Square Garden rocking with the entrances for both Ismael “The Beast” Villarreal (13-2, 9 KOs) and “King” Callum Walsh (9-0, 7 KOs).

Walsh vs Villarreal put on a thriller of a bout, as Villarreal tested Walsh and gave him the first fight that went the distance. Villarreal wanting to show up in front of his home crowd stood tall and took a ton of the power punches that Walsh landed throughout the night.

With the crowd at MSG fully behind the Cork, Ireland star he definitely showed what the hype is all about though, as throughout the night he combined power in speed to get a final score card of 97-92, 97-92, 96-93.

Hollywood Fight Nights NYC is going to head back to their home base of California on January 27, as they are going to be in Commerce, California and hopefully back in New York City sometime in March.
