Seton Hall Women’s Basketball Starts Season Strong in Exhibition victory against St. Thomas Aquinas

It was a total team effort for the Seton Hall Women’s Basketball team, as 12 players scored at least four points in the team’s 79-38 exhibition victory against St. Thomas Aquinas in Walsh Gym on Thursday.

Both teams playing a great style of basketball as they were able to shake off any rust from the offseason.
Leading the way for the Pirates is Freshman Savannah Catalon as she scored a game-high 12 points along with adding on three helpers and a game-high five steals.

Amari Wright wowed the fans in attendance with her four steals, eight point and three assist performance, along with A’Jah Davis impressing with her eight-rebound performance in only 13 minutes of play.

Overall, as a team Seton Hall went 27-for-64 (42.2%) from the floor for the game, while also going 6-for-24 (25.0%) from three-point range.

Another impressive stat from the game is the fact that Seton Hall outrebounded STAC 36-33, as the ladies held a 17-11 tally when it came time for the offensive rebounds.

In her first year at Seton Hall University Micah Gray tallied nine points and impressed with her three-point shooting as she made three made three-pointers.

One of the biggest keys to The Hall’s victory is the fact that the team played well defensively as the ladies were able to force 32 turnovers.

The ladies of Seton Hall University open up the 2023-24 season on Tuesday, November 7 as they take on Iona University in Walsh Gymnasium. The action is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
