USMNT Rebounds in 4-0 victory against Ghana in International Friendly

The United States Men’s National Team after a tough 3-1 loss against Germany on October 14, was looking to rebound in a big way in the friendly against Ghana.

In the team’s first appearance at the GEODIS Park in Nashville the guys had a dominant performance in the 4-0 victory.

There were a ton of memorable moments for the USMNT including the first international brace for midfielder Gio Reyna tallied his first international brace. In addition, Christian Pulisic and forward Folarin Balogun both scored a goal each.

With the victory USMNT Head Coach Gregg Berhalter recorded his 40th as the U.S. coach, as he is the fastest USMNT Manager to achieve the milestone.

Getting the US on the scoreboard early Reyna found the back of the net in the 10th minute, as the team did some great work getting the ball to Reyna, as he blasted the ball with a right-footed strike from nine yards out.

Then it is Pulisic nicknamed Captain America, once again creating a memorable moment for the USMNT in the 19th minute. The forward stepped up to the spot and hit a laser up the middle to double the lead.
The goal for Pulisic is the 28th if his international career.

A beauty of a play by Tim Weah found Folarin Balogun for the third goal in the 22nd minute, as Florian found the back-post net side to make the action 3-0. Then to cap the game off for the USNMT Reyna scored his brace in the 39th minute.

With the win the USMNT improves the record to 9-2-5 in 16 matches played, while also having a 3-2-o record against Ghana.

The USMNT now prepares and gets ready to take on Trinidad & Tobago on November 20 with the action starting at 7:00 p.m. For anyone wanting to catch the action they can do so by checking out the TNT network.
