Huge Home Match for Gotham FC as they get ready to play the Dash

It is going to be one of the biggest moments in the 2023 Gotham FC season thus far. As the ladies’ step onto the field at Red Bull Arena on October 1, they have themselves a chance to clinch a spot in the 2023 NWSL Playoffs as they host the Houston Dash.

Gotham FC fans are encouraged to check out the following video as Head Coach Juan Carlos Amorós and Midfielder Nealy Martin share these thoughts as the team is preparing to take on the Houston Dash on October 1…video is compliments of Gotham FC:

There are going to be a ton of events prior as Gotham FC is planning to hold Hispanic Heritage Night as from 4-6 p.m. fans can head to Gate B to participate in face painting, hair braiding, in addition a special performance by Mariachi Loco de NY will serenade fans with classic mariachi music, while DJ Jaymie Perez provides a playlist of popular Spanish-language hits.

Gotham FC is going into the match against the Dash with a ton of momentum, as with the ladies most recent victory against the Washington Spirit, the franchise is third in the NWSL standings. If the team is able to gain three points they can sit at the top of the table, along with securing a spot in the 2023 NWSL Playoffs.

The Dash have a ton to fight for as well though, as they sit outside the playoff picture, if somehow the visiting side are able to gain three points, they can keep their playoff chance alive.

This is going to be the second meeting between Gotham and the Dash, as in with the last time these two franchises met, they played to a 1-1 draw.

Gotham FC is going to look a little different this time around, as the addition of Esther González to the roster.

Esther made an immediate impact in her first match with Gotham FC, as she not only made her debut but scored a brace in the team’s most recent match against the Washington Spirit.

It is going to see how each team is going to fare when October 1 rolls around, especially with a spot for the playoffs on the line. The stage is set as Gotham FC takes on the Houston Dash with the start of the match scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
