NYCFC fans are encouraged to check out the following video featuring thoughts from Head Coach Nick Cushing and Goalkeeper Matt Freese as the team prepares to take on Inter Miami…video is compliments of NYCFC:
When it comes time for going up against Miami, the team has a record of 3W-1L-0D, but things are a little different as the Inter Miami squad were able to make some big-time changes, and one of the biggest is the acquisition of one of the greats in the world of soccer in Lionel Messi.
There are going to be a ton of eyes on the match as Messi has not made an appearance as of late due to a injury that he suffered during the Toronto FC match.
Plenty of talent still within the Inter Miami roster as leading the way thus far is Leonardo Campana, as he is one of the team’s top scorers with Nine. As for NYCFC the duo of Santi Rodriguez and Talles Magno have thrilled fans with their play and scoring, as they have tallied four goals each.
The stage is set as NYCFC looks to maintain their place in the 2023 MLS Playoff hunt in taking on Inter Miami on Saturday, September 30 with the start of the match scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
