One of the things that New York City FC has prided themselves on is connecting with the community members in the New York Area. Anything that they have done with their marketing campaigns, and as a team as a whole has revolved around the city of New York.
In the latest nod to the city of New York and the continuing efforts to connect with the community New York City FC unveiled the first-ever third kit, titled ‘The Parks Kit,’ in an announcement unveiled on Wednesday.
The kit is an homage and to celebrate the City’s parks and the important part that is played in teh sport of soccer.
For many the parks are the place where many found their love of soccer, it is the place where people spend countless hours and minutes practicing the sport and perfecting the craft.
Not only that but the parks are the place where people go to gather as a community, to interact with others and to enjoy the beauty of nature.
According to the press conference sent out by the team on Wednesday, “The parks are the metaphoric and literal lungs of the City, providing critical clean air and places to relax and play in the City That Never Sleeps.
