There is a ton of excitement in the world of soccer in the New York Area, between the Premier League and La Liga Teams getting ready to play in some big-time matches in addition to the start of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. With teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Atlas all in town there were a ton of wonderful events planned to get fans hyped up for the weekend.
One event hosted by America SCORES and the Long Acre Tavern featured one of the best natural defenders in the history of Manchester United in Wes Brown, as the soccer star sat down and reflected on his time with the iconic soccer club.
Wes has an incredible resume, including being a part of the United Club during their 1998-99 season when the team won the Treble (a team winning three trophies in a single season). In addition, Brown has won four more Premier League Titles, an FA Cup, a Leagues Cup while also earning his first England Cap in 1999, while being selected to play at the 2002 World Cup.

Brown sitting down in front of a captivated audience at the Long Acre Tavern, reflected on his time with Manchester United, talked about the current 2023 club and so many happy people happy by taking time to interact with everyone in attendance.
It was a night of fun and festivities as those in attendance got free gift bags, a chance to get an autograph shirt with the winning ticket number being read by another Soccer great in Dion Dublin, known for his time with Manchester United during the 1992-1994 seasons.
And all of it was to help to get fans excited for the renewal of one of Soccer’s greatest rivalries in Manchester United versus Arsenal, as the two historic clubs are playing at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, July 22, 2023, with the kickoff scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
In addition, a big part of the night is the America SCORES company, one of the many great companies making a positive impact in the community. The New York branch’s goal is to create equitable opportunities for the youth of America to experience sport, to express themselves and to inspire positive change (the mission statement is compliments of the America SCORES Website).

All the work that they do is to leave a lasting legacy and a better future in the world of sports for others and the partnership between America SCORES and Long Acre Tavern had many fans on Friday night feeling happy, and excited for the big match that is happening on Saturday.
