The United States Women’s National Soccer Team has the weight of the world on their shoulders. With commercials starting to air to hype fans up for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, there are a ton of emotions surrounding the squad.
There are a total of 14 players that are going to have a chance to participate in the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time, in addition the team paying tribute to one of soccer’s legends Megan Rapinoe.
Prior to the ladies heading to New Zealand, they had themselves against Wales and in front of 18,000 fans played to a 2-0 victory.
Helping to lead the way is Forward Trinity Rodman, as she has also been making waves with the NWSL Franchise the Washington Spirit. For Rodman, the 21-year-old recorded her first career brace, making her the youngest USNT player to score multiple times.
Then after that the team packed up their bags and headed to New Zealand, where on Wednesday they had their first training session.

One of the things about the USWNT is the legacy that has been left by prior teams, as thus far the U.S. Squad has won the FIFA Women’s World Cup Twice, they are always one of the teams to watch for and it should be interesting to see how the mix of newer talent to go along with the veterans blend together.
The USWNT winning the tournament in 2019 and 2015 Respectively, had one of their biggest moments during their 2015 run, as they avenged the match that the two teams had in the 2011 season. Then in 2019 Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle led the way in the team’s 2-0 victory over the Netherlands.
As the ladies practiced intensely and had a bit of fun interacting with the fans that attended the open training session and trying out their skills in the sport of Rugby. All of their efforts are getting them ready for their very first match to be played on July 21.
Up first is going to be a test against Vietnam, as Watch Parties and Fans from around the world are going to gather and see how exactly this 2023 Team does with the Tournament.
It all comes down to this the USWNT takes on Vietnam on July 21, with the kickoff scheduled for 9:00 p.m. For those fans wanting to watch the action can do so on the FOX Network.
