The third victory for the Washington Mystics (3-2) was a close call as the ladies just edged out the Dallas Wings (3-2) by a final score of 75-74 in the Entertainment and Sports Arena on Friday.
Leading the way in the victory for the Mystics is Elena Delle Donne as she finished the game with 23 points and 10 rebounds. The performance for Delle Donne is the third time this season a player recorded 20+ points, 10+ rebounds, 3+ three-pointers made, 1+ steal and 1+ block in a game.
In addition, this is the second time in having 10 or more defensive rebounds this season, and that is tied for most in the WNBA.
Getting the team’s Hard Hat Player of the Game award is Ariel Atkins as she had a strong showing with 16 points, Atkins had herself a stellar shooting night having three three-pointers. The last time that Atkins had herself a 15+ point night and a 3+ made three performances came on May 22, 2018, against Las Vegas.

In her seventh double-double of her career Shakira Austin finished up the night with 12 points and 11 rebounds. This is Austin’s third double-double of the season and that has Center/Forward in a tie for second most in the WNBA.
Rounding out the team leaders is Natasha Cloud, as the guard set up her teammates making several spectacular passing in also adding on 10 points and eight assist.
The ladies are going to have a very quick turnaround, as they are getting ready to host the Minnesota Lynx on June 3 (Saturday) in a 7:00 p.m. start in the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
