It is going to be a long road series but the Brooklyn Cyclones (2-1) are looking forward to their first test as they take on the Winston-Salem Dash (0-1) from Truist Stadium in Winston Salem, N.C.

Making his first start for the Cyclones will be righty Blade Tidwell, who was the Mets 2022 second-round pick. He will be going up against fellow righty Jonathan Cannon.

Tidwell is one of the Mets Top Pitching prospects per MLB Pipeline, as he is ranked No. 7 overall on the Top 30 list. He is though of as the 9th overall farmhand by Baseball America and only current Mets star Kodai Senga is higher ranked.

The team is coming off a high thanks to the most recent victory over Jersey Shore, with the final being 4-2 on Sunday. Helping to lead the way in that one were Kevin Kendall, Alex Ramirez, Jaylen Palmer, Daniel Juarez and Tyler Stuart.

Brooklyn is going to be the team to watch for during the 2023 season, as Baseball America ranked them as the fourth most talented roster in all of Minor League Baseball. In terms of rankings they are the highest rated non-Triple-A squad, behind the Northfolk Tides, Duraham Bulls and Columbus Clippers.

Game One between the Cyclones and the Dash is set for 7:00 p.m.
