For those who are Professional Wrestling fans and looking for an alternate when it comes time for their television program, one day turn the channel to TBS as All Elite Wrestling is definitely that alternative.
Featuring the top stars in the world of Professional Wrestling, All Elite Wrestling brought an action packed night to UBS Arena as those in attendance were able to watch AEW Dark Elevation, the TV Filming of AEW Dynamte and Ring of Honor Wrestling.
It was an action packed night from start to finish as there were dream matches and scenarios that had the fans in attendance on their seats from bell to bell.
AEW Dark Elevation which frequently airs on the company’s YouTube Channels, often times features unique matches that many may not have though of and of the up-and-coming stars in the world of Professional Wrestling.
There was a ton of trios actions during AEW Dark Elevation in addition to their being some epic women’s matches as well.
Then it was Wendesday Night and You know what that means, as the live TV filming of AEW Dynamite hit the stage. The next few paragraphs contain spoilers…
Staring off strong AEW got the fans excited with the bout that featured Juice Robinson took on Ricky Starks in a grudge match. Starks who is usually a fan favorite, didn’t even get the chance to show what he could do in front of the capacity crowd at UBS Arena, as there was a Bullet Club beatdown.
In the moment that blew the roof off of UBS Arena the music for Jay White played, and one of the leaders of the Bullet Club hit the ring to help his teammate. It was an epic moment as many were happy to see White in action again, though it was fascinating to see what will happen with Starks as the AEW Programming progresses.
Then fans were treated to a backstage interview between Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho that set up a potential dream match between the legend and upcoming star Keith Lee. That is going to be something to watch for as Lee has put on some epic bouts in his time with AEW thus far, and going up against someone like Chris Jericho, who has been known to elevate every oppoenet he has faced will be an instant classic.
What was the goosebump moment of the night was the entrance of The House of Black as they took on the team of AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta. Having watched AEW on many occasions, The House of Black entrance is amazing to watch, but to be able to see it in person was incredible.
It was a highly athletic match between the two teams, as all members were able to display their athleticism. One of the more impressive things to be able to see in person is the striking ability of one Malakai Black. Seeing him on TV and in person are two completely different things, and I must say hopefully fans will take the time to see him in person some day. Black and his striking abilities is something to be in awe of that is for sure.
There was a cool video montage of Christian Cage and Luchasaurus prior to the AEW Women’s Championship Math. that was a heck of a confrontation as well as it was the battle of Jamie Hayter and her power going up against Rhio and her speed.
Eventually it was Hayter and her strength retaining the AEW Championship. It will be interesting to see will Hayter and Riho clash again-or what the next challenge for Hayter be in AEW.
Fans were treated to a backstage interview between Renee Paquette and The Outcasts (Ruby Soho, Saraya and Toni Storm) prior to the next segment.
That was when the Jericho Appreciation Society came out on stage to see if The Acclaimed will join their group. It is uncertain if The Acclaimed will be Scissoring the JAS anytime soon, but for now the foursome will have a match on Rampage upcoming.
Then fans of Long Island got to celebrate one of the local heros as MJF came out to celebrate MJF Day. The Young Lion, who was recently honored by the City of Long Island with the Key to the City for brining the AEW World Championship to Long Island got to celebrate in front of his hometown crowd.
By the way if you ever wondered if MJF is better than you and you know it, he is indeed as the young star danced and sang and gave probably one of the more emotional speeches that this writer has heard in her time of watching wrestling.
It was phenomenal to hear the story of MJF as he has battled through attention deficit disorder to now being one of the brightest stars in AEW.
Things are going to get interesting in AEW as they have what they call the “Pillars” of the company all battling to see who will get the Championship. MJF, Darby Allen, Jungle Boy and Sammy Guevara were the foursome that helped to elevate AEW and their brand, and oh by the way all want that top spot in the company.
It will be fascinating to see what direction AEW goes in, for now though the success of MJF and his reign as champion has been going well.
Then there was high flying action as Sammy Guevara taking on Komander in what was one of the more athletic contest of the night
.
Fans in attendance got treated to Championship action as FTW Champion Hook took on ‘All Ego” Ethan Page. Hook was able to retain thanks to help from fellow young star Isiah Kassidy, hopefully Hook and Ethan Page will meet again, as this journalist was looking forward to their one-on-one clash.
Newly signed to the AEW team Nigel McGuinness, who is one of the legends in the world of Professional Wrestling helped AEW CEO and GM Tony Khan unveil his huge announcement. The company is heading to the UK on August 27.
It will be an epic night as for the first time the stars of AEW will get to perform in the historic Wembley Stadium. The fans overseas will be in for a treat that day, as this write predicts the stars of the company will once again tear down the house.
Then The Blackpool Combat Club continues their dastardly ways in their defeat of three upcoming stars in the world of Professional Wrestling. At first the Blackpool Combat Club was all about promoting and helping talent, but now they seem to be only for themselves.
Personally am unsure of what to feel about the Blackpool Combat Club, have a feeling that is a debate many Professional Wrestling fans may have right about now. If they like what the trios are doing. Will be fascinated to see if they get back to what they are or continue their reign of terror.
In one of the more thrilling Main Events this writer/fan has seen thus far, two of the top tag teams went at it for the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
There were a ton of nerves prior as the match may have been the last one for FTR in AEW. Going up against The Gunns was not an easy task, and for those who haven’t seen The Gunns yet do check them out.
It was an epic clash between the two squads, but eventually FTR showed why they are still the Top Guys in defeating The Guns, becoming NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, while in addition continuing their career in AEW.
After two amazing events fans were in for an added treat, as Khan, who loves the sport of Professional Wrestling, bough the Ring of Honor company and brought their stars to the folks at UBS as well.
Not going to spoil that event but am going to tip my cap to those who put on one heck of a performance with Ring of Honor as that was a heck of a showing.
Up next for AEW will be their AEW Rampage/Battle of the Belts VI event that is going to take place in Kingston, Rhode Island.
