The awards keep on rolling in for the Aaron Estrada and Tyler Thomas of Hofstra University, as the duo were recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It was announced that the two student-athletes were named to the Division 1 All-District Teams. In addition, Estrada was named on the District 10 First Team, while Thomas was named to the District 10 Second team.
Estrada was also named to the USBWA All-District II Team and has been able to earn a ton of hardware thus far. The accolades for Estrada also include the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year, as well as the All-CAA First Team selection.
Thomas has also been named to the All-CAA Second team thanks to his 16.3 points per game, in addition to averaging 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 assist per game.
As for Estrada he has had a phenomenal year so far, as he has been able to average 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 4.1 steals per game this season. Thus far Aaron ranks first on the team in scoring and rebounding, while being ranked second in assists and steals.
Hofstra (24-9) will continue their magical run as they are taking on Rutgers University in the first round of the NIT Tournament.
