Tough test for Fordham Women’s Basketball in 74-63 loss to George Mason

On Senior Day in Rose Hill Gym, the Fordham Women’s Basketball team (16-12, 8-7 A-10 Conference) fell to George Mason (18-10, 10-5) by a final of 74-63.

The Rams were able to hang tight, but lack of rebounds hurt them, as the Patriots had a 37-34 advantage in the game.
Fordham University had three players finishing in double-figure scoring as Asiah Dingle led the way with 20 points. Dingle had herself an ESPN Top 10 play in the Second Half, as she was able to finish the game on a 5-for-15 shooting night and had a perfect 10-for-10 performance from the free throw line.

George Mason, meanwhile, did themselves an outstanding job, as they were able to create many opportunities on the offensive side of the floor. The Patriots were able to draw fouls, overall showed an impressive defense and were able to keep the Rams off the scoreboard.

Leading the way for the Patriots was Nalani Kaysia, who had 19 points.

Fordham University has plenty of regular season play left prior to heading to Wilmington, Delaware to participate in the Atlantic 10 Championship. The next home game for the Rams will be on Wednesday, February 22, as the team will take on Rhode Island.

The tip between the two teams is set for 7:00 p.m.
