Tough night for the St. John’s Men’s Basketball team, in 77-67 loss to No. 18/19 Creighton

With the BIG EAST Tournament just around the corner, nights like the ones that the St. John’s Men’s Basketball team (16-11, 6-10 BIG EAST) had against No. 18/19 Creighton (17-9, 11-4) are ones that could possibly help to propel them.

One of the themes for the Red Storm thus far is the fact that they always seem to find a way to climb back into games, they are never completely out of the action. And that trend continued as they faced a tough Nationally Ranked team.

In front of a sold-out crowd at Carnesecca Arena, the Red Storm were led by Joel Soriano, who had 15 points and eight rebounds. Soriano had a milestone moment in the fact that he was able to grab his 500th rebound, by doing that he is now the ninth player in program history to achieve the feat in their first two seasons with the program.
