Total team effort for Fordham University Women’s Basketball in Win over Saint Peter’s

The Fordham University Women’s Basketball team has gotten themselves off to a great start so far, as the ladies were able to earn victories over Yale and most recently Saint Peter’s University.


It was a total team effort for the Rams on Thursday night, as the ladies were able to have a record-setting 81-39 victory.
Helping to lead the way for Fordham was Graduate guard Asiah Dingle, who had 10 steals, which is a new program-record. Asiah also had a double-double with 19 points and 10 steals. Following Dingle in her amazing performance was Anna DeWolfe who had 13 points and Kaitlyn Downey had 10 points, six rebounds, two assist and two blocks.

The Rams were able to see their newer players get playing time as Jada Dapaa had 19 minutes, Ashley O’Connor and Faith Pappas made their collegiate debuts.


Thursday’s was Fordham University first 40-point victory since a 76-34 victory over Duquesne in the 2019 Atlantic 10 Championship semis. The victorires that the team recorded against Yale and Saint Peters are the first back-to-back 80-point games since 2013 and the second time in the A-10 era that the team achieved its feet.

Up next for Fordham University the ladies will be on the road as they will face a #17/#18 Maryland on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
