St. John’s Athletics has announced that a performance by Blxst will headline the 2022 edition of Red Storm Tip-Off on Oct. 21 inside Carnesecca Arena.
A staple of the student-life calendar at St. John’s, Red Storm Tip-Off brings the campus community together to celebrate the start of basketball season. In addition to the performance by Blxst, attendees will also be introduced to the 2022-23 Red Storm rosters and watch team scrimmages. There will also be numerous contests and giveaways throughout the evening.
One of the foremost names in Los Angeles hip hop, Blxst has dominated the airwaves with hits like “Chosen,” “About You” and “Every Good Girl.” In addition to his acclaimed solo work, Blxst has also collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Kehlani, Nas, Burna Boy and others.
Blxst recently sold out his Before You Go North America and Australian tour dates. Next month, Blxst will embark on a European tour.
Admission to Red Storm Tip-Off is free for all St. John’s students, but attendees must be in possession of a physical ticket. Tickets can be picked up on the morning of the event at the Carnesecca Arena box office beginning at 9 a.m. Student season ticket holders can skip the line, as they will have a digital copy of their tickets delivered to their ticket account on the morning of Red Storm Tip-Off.
If availability allows, tickets will be made available to Red Storm supporters at the Carnesescca Arena box office starting at 4 p.m. on Oct. 21. Red Storm Basketball season ticket holders can request a ticket in advance by contacting the St. John’s Ticket Office at stjohnstipoff2022@gmail.com.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. St. John’s student season ticket holders will receive a wristband for early entry at 6 p.m. To become a student season ticket holder, click here.
