Former NFL Stars Continue Their “Pivot to Pink” Initiative at Charity Walk This Sunday, October 16 in Central Valley, NY

Former NFL stars and co-hosts of the popular “The Pivot Podcast”Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor and Channing Crowder, will be in attendance to support The American Cancer Society’s 26th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Hudson Valley event this Sunday, October 16 at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets in Central Valley, NY between 7:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign unites communities, companies, and individuals with a collective goal to end breast cancer as we know it. This year, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer will take place in more than 150 communities nationwide to support courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers, including caregivers, and families alike.

Clark, a Pro Bowl safety and Super Bowl XLIII champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Taylor,  an All-American running back and member of the NFL’s prestigious 10,000-yard rushing club and Crowder, and All-American linebacker who played his entire professional career for the Miami Dolphins, will be on-hand to offer words of encouragement to participants and cut the ribbon to start the scheduled family-friendly, non-competitive 2.1 mile walk around the beautiful Woodbury Common Premium Outlets grounds.

The event will also feature survivor and caregiver recognition as well as fun activities for all, including kids and adult crafts, posh survivors’ tent, selfie spots, music by DJ Echo, a roaming photobooth compliments of Paraco Gas, Hudson Valley Ghost Busters, the Cornwall High School A Cappella Group, Monroe Woodbury Football team cheering, and generous sponsor giveaways.

NFL players around the league will be wearing pink Pivot Podcast shirts throughout the week and during pregame on Sunday to show their support as well.

Launched earlier this year, “The Pivot Podcast” has become must-see viewing for sports and culture fans, as the crew hosts an assortment of current and former athletes, as well as popular cultural figures and celebrities. Known for their ability to coax compelling and entertaining interviews out of their guests, the show has risen steadily in popularity due to the three hosts’ chemistry with fellow sports heroes.

Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is located at 498 Red Apple Ct. in Central Valley. Optimum parking is located behind Market Hall on the Woodbury Common grounds. Proceeds will help the American Cancer Society invest in groundbreaking research, provide free rides to chemo and places to stay near hospitals, and 24/7 answers and support for those facing the disease.
