The National Lacrosse League (NLL) recently announced its full 2022-23 game schedule, beginning with Face Off Weekend the first weekend of December. The Albany FireWolves take to the road for their first game of the new season for a rematch of last year’s playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday, December 3. Following a bye week, the FireWolves return to the Capital Region for their home opener against the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday December 17.
With the release of the NLL schedule, the FireWolves also announce theme nights slated for six of the team’s nine home games throughout the season. The FireWolves’ full schedule and theme nights can be seen below:

“The PACK is Back! We are thrilled to announce our 2022-23 schedule and specifically our home schedule,” said George Manias, President of the FireWolves. “We have a great home opener planned when we take on Connor Fields and the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday, December 17, so get your tickets now, Albany! In addition, we are planning something special for every home game, and we have several theme nights already planned out such as our Black Out Night for the home opener, Military Appreciation Night, Indigenous Celebration Night, College Night, and Cancer Awareness Night. We plan on making every game an event, and we will put on a show both on and off the turf. The FireWolves will face off against numerous former UAlbany Men’s Lacrosse players throughout the course of the season. Notable matchups for the FireWolves include two home games against the Georgia Swarm, led by Lyle Thompson. The home opener against the Knighthawks will see Connor Fields return to the 518. Albany will also host the Philadelphia Wings at the end of the season where Capital Region Lacrosse fans can watch former UAlbany stars Blaze Riorden and Joe Resetarits. The FireWolves’ regular season finale will return Tehoka Nanticoke to Albany as the team hosts the Buffalo Bandits.
