New York City FC goalie Sean Johnson has been a star for the boys in blue, having made some sizzling saves and highlight reel moments. As a reward Johnson will be a part of the 2022 Major League Soccer All-Star Game that will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Yesterday Sean was a part of the official training session, as he and the rest of the squad will take on the Liga MX All-Stars in a match that will be played today (August 10).
1495 Sports is proud to bring the following video that shows Johnson warming-up with his teammates in Minnesota:
In addition to playing in the match, Sean is also participating in the All-Star Skills Challenge. For Johnson, this will be the first time he will be participating in the All-Star festivities and is an honor that is well earned as he is currently tied for most clean sheets this season. Johnson has eight catches, three punches and an overall goal save rating of 71.2%.
Johnson, who has provided so many great moments for New York City FC since joining the club in 2017, was also a huge part of the club winning the Major League Soccer Championship, earning MVP honors in 2021.
The MLS All-Star festivities is set to start at 8:30 p.m. with those wanting to catch the action can do so on the ESPN Network.
