The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will host Iona in its home opener on Friday, November 11.
The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

“We are looking forward to this great game at the Mack,” mentioned Hofstra Head Coach Speedy Claxton. “The home opener is a special game for the Hofstra community to get to see our guys for the first time and it should be a great game against another quality opponent in Iona.”
Hofstra has previously announced non-conference games at Saint Mary’s (November 19), at Purdue (December 7), and versus Massachusetts (December 11 at the Barclays Center).
One of the Pride’s oldest rivals, Hofstra and Iona have met 42 times on the hardwood with the Gaels holding a narrow 22-20 lead in the series. The teams first met during the 1946-47 season.
