In front of a sold out Audi Field in Washington D.C. Bayern Munich showed the American fans why the club as a whole has won six European Cups , as well as being the 10-time defending Bundesliga Champions.
Showing a fast paced brand of soccer, along with some beautiful passing and sizzling shot selection the club was able to earn a 6-2 victory over D.C. United in a friendly that was played at Audi Field on July 20.
D.C. United were able to show a bit of what they can do scoring wise as Skage Simonsen, who had at one point played for the affiliate team Loudon United along with academy product Ted Ku-DiPietro were both able to find the back of the cage.
Bayern Munich had shown some different styles of play and were able to see scoring from Sadio Mane (just signed by the team), Marcel Sabitzer, Serge Gnabry, Matthijs de Ligi (just acquired by the team), Joshua Zirkzee and Thomas Muller.

The next stop on the tour of America for Bayern Munich will be a trip to Wisconsin to take on Manchester City in a match that is set for 7:00 p.m.
For D.C. United they will be heading back to MLS action and with lots of changes incoming. They hope to have Wayne Rooney as the Head Coach of the club within the next few matches, the gaffer was not on the sidelines for this match as the paperwork is still being processed. In a move that was made recently the team also has just signed midfielder Ravel Morrison to the club.
The Black-and-Red are also still in the process of acquiring new players as they were able to acquire forward Miguel Berry to the club. Berry had seen some time in the Bayern Munich match
D.C. United will return to Audi Field on July 23 when they take on Montreal in a match that is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
