The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team is gearing up for a special season and the program announced another strong non-conference game for the upcoming 2022-23 campaign as the Pride will head west to take on Saint Mary’s.
This match-up of two of the top mid-major teams in the country will be on November 19 at University Credit Union Pavilion.
“What an incredible addition to our schedule,” commented Hofstra Head Coach Speedy Claxton. “Saint Mary’s has been a standard bearer for the success of mid-majors and we are excited to go on the road and challenge ourselves against them this season. We know we have a quality group here at Hofstra and this looks to be a great showcase for college basketball when we meet.”
Hofstra has previously announced non-conference games this season against Purdue (December 7 at Purdue) and Massachusetts (December 11 at the Barclays Center).
This will mark the first-ever game between Hofstra and Saint Mary’s in men’s basketball. The Gaels, who went 26-8 a season ago, have made 11 NCAA Tournament appearances in their history, including reaching the second round in 2022.
