New York Liberty Edged out by Aces, 107-101

They say that the second and third time’s a charm, but that wasn’t the case for the New York Liberty (9-14) who fell to the Las Vegas Aces (16-7) by a final score of 107-101 in the team’s second meeting.

In the good news department, the Liberty were able to  set the all-time WNBA record for most points scored by any team in a single half with their 73-point second half. The previous record was held by the Detroit Shock with 72 points in the second half on July 8, 2007.

New York was able to finish with a 44.7% shooting night from the field, as three ladies were able to have double figure scoring.
