Fordham Men’s Basketball Falters at Davidson, 66-45

The Fordham Men’s Basketball team had a tough road game falling to Davidson by a score of66-45 in NCAA Division 1 action in Belk Arena.

With the loss, Fordham falls to 13-14 overall with a 6-9 mark in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while Davidson improves to 24-4 with a 14-2 mark in the conference.

Leading the way for Fordham was Chuba Ohams who had his 17th double-double of the year with 15 points and 10 rebounds.  There were three other players with six points each as Kyle Rose, Josh Colon-Navarro and Charlton Antrell all rounded out the scoring.

There was a special moment for Patrick Kelly, who is from the Raleigh, North Carolina area, as he was able to have a large cheering section in attendance that day.

Meanwhile for Davidson they were able to have four players in double-figure scoring as Sam Mennenga had 17 points, Luka Brajkovic followed with 15 points. Michael Jones recorded 12 points and Hyunjung Lee rounded out the scoring with 10 points.

Davidson has won 23 of the last 25 games, and they were able to enter the game tenth in the nation in field goal percentage (.475), but the Rams were able to hold them to a .375 shooting percentage in the game.

Up next for the Fordham University Men’s Basketball team will be a home game against the University of Massachusetts in Rose Hill Gym on Monday, February 28. The tip between these two teams will be at 7:00 p.m.  Fans who are interested in checking out the game can do so on the SNY Network.
